Game On: Hermès Lisbon Spring 2018 by Studio Astolfi

For the Spring 2018 Hermès campaign in Lisbon, Studio Astolfi embraced the playful theme of Games, crafting a vitrine where luxury products and whimsical tabletop interactions converge in theatrical harmony.

Studio Astolfi transformed the storefront into a curated playground—where Hermès scarves, porcelain, leather goods, and accessories became unexpected pieces within a sophisticated game set. Oversized wooden game boats pieces, domino tiles, and playful board layouts form the stage for Hermès objects, prompting visitors to reconsider everyday products as participants in a visual contest of form and narrative.

Each Hermès item is thoughtfully situated within the composition—scarves draped over giant checkers, glass marbles resting on domino tiles, leather goods placed beside dice-like sculptures—creating a surreal crossover between fashion, craft, and the language of games. The staging is delightfully minimal yet conceptually rich: strategic placement and spatial tension echo the logic and unpredictability of gameplay.

The aesthetic is elegant and imaginative. Clean background tones, daylight-balanced lighting, and crisp geometry highlight beauty in motion, pause, and anticipation. The display evokes curiosity—a tableau of potential moves, suspended drama, and refined storytelling through objects.

Studio Astolfi’s Games installation is not merely a display—it is an invitation. A visual experiment in chance and craft, where the rules of luxury and play fuse into a single, compelling narrative.
