Hermès Paris | Summer 2018
Hermès Paris | Charles De Gaulles
Sliding into Summer
For the Hermès store at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, Studio Astolfi created a joyful and imaginative window display for Summer 2018, centered around the theme of play.
At the heart of the installation was a bold red slide, down which Hermès shoes seemed to glide effortlessly into a vibrant pool of colorful balls—evoking the energy and spontaneity of a children’s playground. On the opposite side, traditional wooden rocking animals—horses, elephants, and deer—offered a whimsical stage where Hermès accessories such as cushions, scarves, and toiletry bags playfully swayed.
The window was minimal in its composition, dominated by calm blue tones that served as a backdrop to the bright, animated elements. Yet, true to Joana Astolfi’s vision, the spirit of playfulness was unmistakable—an invitation to rediscover everyday luxury through the lens of joyful simplicity.
This display was not just a visual experience but a reminder that elegance can be lighthearted, and that movement, imagination, and craftsmanship can come together in perfect harmony.
