This bespoke eyewear boutique, nestled in the vibrant heart of Lisbon’s chic Chiado neighborhood, is much more than meets the eye. Spread across two floors of a historic building, the fully renovated space tells the story of a multigenerational family of optometrists whose passion for vision and beauty culminates in every meticulously crafted pair of spectacles.

Just like the glasses themselves, the client’s journey—from selection to customization—is designed to be one-of-a-kind and unforgettable.

The experience begins on the ground floor. With a palette of refined oak, lacquered finishes, marble, brass, and brown leather, the space is defined by clean, asymmetrical lines and a dynamic play of light and shadow. Custom slate-blue cabinetry contrasts elegantly with bone-white walls and ceiling, creating a striking yet harmonious environment.

Studio Astolfi conceived and constructed a vast, whimsical “cabinet of curiosities” that wraps around the boutique like a second skin. Inside, vintage and modern spectacles are nestled among curious treasures: taxidermy pieces, antique optometry tools, and mysterious gadgets. The cabinet itself is a playground of surprise—drawers transform into tables, vertical compartments reveal hidden spectacles, and display surfaces appear as needed. Every element, from lighting to mirrors, was handcrafted to perfectly merge form with function.
