Casa Estrela

Located on Rua Borges Carneiro, in one of Lisbon’s most emblematic neighborhoods, the Estrela Apartment emerges as a family residence that reflects Studio Astolfi’s dedication to balancing comfort with the unexpected. This permanent home, with an area of 107 m², was reinterpreted to mirror the clients’ personal preferences while preserving the building’s original simplicity.

The interior design project explores the home through distinct yet interconnected moments: the elevator hall area, the social zone with an adjoining bathroom, the kitchen, and the two suites with their respective bathrooms. The entrance hall takes on the role of a minimalist central axis, where a curated selection of artworks establishes the narrative identity of the space.

Throughout the apartment, a palette of natural tones unfolds, ranging from calming green to terracotta red, with touches of warm yellow, contributing to a harmonious and welcoming atmosphere. Among the most striking elements are a custom-designed wooden bunk bed in the suite bedroom, intended for a child; a fireplace structure in Rojo Alicante stone with an exclusive design; a living room cabinet integrating a TV, piano, and reading bench; and a headboard featuring an artistic intervention in the master suite. Noble materials, layered textures, and detailed finishes culminate in a décor enriched by art objects and a carefully curated lighting selection.

The Estrela Apartment stands as an example of Studio Astolfi’s ability to integrate character and memory into spaces, creating environments that are both functional and emotionally engaging.
