With its signature language of bold color, texture, and geometry, Studio Astolfi transforms a dated hotel in the center of Lagos into a vibrant retreat inspired by the spirit of the Algarve — from the simplicity of everyday coastal life to the colors of its landscapes and the graphic patterns found in traditional fishermen’s shirts. Checkerboard motifs, arches, terracotta tones, and deep sea blues create a warm and immersive atmosphere, while natural materials such as walnut wood, oak, textured ceramics, and rope-inspired surfaces soften the existing stone architecture. Integrated seating, modular furniture, and layered lighting enhance comfort and sociability, while maritime references and handcrafted details evoke the relaxed rhythm, warmth, and authenticity of Algarve living.
